Six TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Hawkesbury, Narromine, Donald, Pakenham, Rockhampton & Bunbury.

Hawkesbury: Race 7 @ 4:55pm

Brilliant Mind has good gate speed and should lead comfortably from Sydney Blue and Russian Romeo. HOUSE OF CARTIER (12) passed a few in the straight to finish a respectable 6th in the Kembla Grange Classic at G3 level last start over 1600m. Finished 4th in a G2 over this distance when trained in NZ. Massive class drop today and will take a ton of beating. KING OF SEAS (14) came from last in a big field to get up for 2nd last time out over 1850m at Newcastle. Lightly raced gelding who is getting better as the distances extend. LOVESEAT (13) overcame a poor start to power home and just get the verdict recently over a mile at Kembla in the mud. By Savabeel and looks every bit a 2000m horse. BRILLIANT MIND (2) led all the way to win here last start and is sure to give them something to catch again. BLAST (1) is open to plenty of improvement. SELECTIONS: Although there is depth to the form #12 House Of Cartier has a fair bit on her rivals.

Donald: Race 7 @ 4:30pm

Star Of Man can lead from Captain Smooth. CAPTAIN SMOOTH (2) missed a lip twice and then delivered the 58 comfortably third-up at Geelong heavily-backed. Just has to hold the form to go close. TYPHOOMERANG (6) won at Wodonga and then was a bit plain at Ararat unfancied. Gets winning rider Meech back on and a bounce is on the cards. GENERALMAINTENANCE (4) resumes and will race over further. Gets a low gate and it wouldn’t surprise if he’s more forward this time around. MINT ON MOSELEY runs along and snapped as favourite at Kyneton. Is better then that and would be in the finish at best. SELECTIONS: #2 Captain Smooth to keep things rolling.

Narromine: Race 7 @ 5.20pm

Kenneth from the middle of the line has the pace to cross but there are others that have good early speed that will keep him honest. PHILADORA (1) led all the way and gapped her maiden rivals over this distance at Mudgee two starts back. Closed well without threatening to finish a close 4th last time out over 1100m at Scone. Big chance back up to 1200m today. KENNETH (3) led from barrier rise to collect his maiden last start over this distance at Tamworth. Took 15 runs to break the ice but if he leads again today could prove hard to catch with the confidence high. PENNY'S BONITAS (5) won here last start and is worth including in exotics, as is THEE JENNER (4) first up for the new stable. SELECTIONS: #1 Philadora to win again as she returns to 1200m.

Bunbury: Race 3 @ 6:07pm (AEDT)

Neat Action is quickest early of the raced. MAGIC EMPIRE (1) resumes and can win this at best. Has had two trials and Durrant has engaged Pike. Gets the blinkers first time and is sure to go well. CALAG (6) has had a stack of trials stretching back to June. Just missed at the most recent and expect a bold debut. MISTER KRUMPETS (2) is an ex Victorian resuming as a gelding and with a couple of gear changes. Has shown he’s good enough and should be ready following two trials. NEAT ACTION (5) did nothing on debut but has trialled well for this at Belmont. Draws low and keeps him safe. SELECTIONS Looks a good race for #1 Magic Empire.
