Australian thoroughbred meetings on Tuesday are conducted at Hawkesbury, Moruya, Ballarat and Townsville.

Hawkesbury Race 7 @ 4.35pm

Speed to burn here but while fresh Caliera Gem can hold them all out. BROKEN ARROWS (3) ran his usual honest race when he looked home only to be nailed on the line by today's rival Asharani last start over 1000m at Kembla. Placed on the Kensington track over 1150m the start before which is a strong form reference. ASHARANI (2) stalked Broken Arrows all the way down the straight and nailed him on the line at Kembla last time out. That was her first run in nearly six months so has plenty of upside. CALIERA GEM (4) has not raced since making it 2/2 over 1300m at Taree in mid-September. Trialled well at Wyong recently and won't give up the unbeaten record without a fight. HOSTWIN SATURN (7) can run boldly first up. SELECTIONS: #3 Broken Arrows can turn the tables on Asharani.

Ballarat: Race 8 @ 5:00pm

HURRICANE FIGHTER (5) won the Maiden as expected resuming improving his already sharp figures. He will use the low gate and fitter should have these covered. RUN PAM RUN (11) was slow off resuming in a strong form race and then led all the way as favourite also in the grade. Keeps Meech and gets the chance to repeat. GREYAZZ (6) won well on debut and then ran favourite first-up and things didn't work out. Gets some gear tweaks and expect improvement at odds. DISENCHANTED (13) was okay resuming off Group races and has more to give. Always needs a good ride but is worth including. SELECTIONS: Keen on the promising #5 Hurricane Fighter.

Townsville Race 6 @ 4:42pm

Regal Embrace and Lord Archer may run them along with Reagan rolling over. REAGAN (6) has led and won both runs back by a space. Goes wet and dry and rates to keep things rolling. EMBERSPEED (3) made the hat-trick at Bowen and keeps improving. He will get a cosy run from the rail and can be right in the photo. REGAL EMBRACE (2) improved sharply placing second-up at Cairns and has more up the sleeve. Fitter he’s a chance. SELECTIONS: Keen on #6 Reagan.
