Randwick: Race 8 @ 3:50pm

MIDTERM (11) has looked great in his two runs so far this campaign, the latest a clinical two length success in the Manion Cup where he beat Big Duke. Will take up a forward position and looks timed to the minute for this contest third run from a spell. DUBHE (10) makes his Australian debut. Was last seen putting a margin on his rivals over this trip at Meydan. Stable last won this race in 2017 with Polarisation and will be looking to claim the Melbourne Cup-Sydney Cup double following Cross Counter's Cup victory in November. BIG DUKE (5) meets Midterm 1.5kg better at the weights after running second to him in the Manion Cup. Has since recorded an impressive second to Avilius in the Tancred Stakes. Suited back to Handicap conditions. RONDINELLA (15) made an encouraging Australian debut when placing in the Tancred Stakes. Is very much a mare in form. SIR CHARLES ROAD (7) next after closing well in the Chairman's Quality. Ran third to Who Shot Thebarman in the 2018 Sydney Cup. SELECTIONS: Backing Midterm at the each way quote.

Caulfield: Race 4 @ 2:05pm

Steel Prince could get the run of things from the front here unless Double Bluff or Aloft want to run along. STEEL PRINCE (3) is the fresh legs here and he is certainly the sharpest of the key hopes with plenty of these going to be stepped out further and over obstacles in the coming weeks. He knuckled down to win at Mornington last time and won't have any trouble staying the longer trip now with that run under the belt. BONDEIGER (1) has to come back from two miles but should cope. Form has been terrific of late and he rates to be right in the finish. ROCKARRAL (9) should get the right run and that puts him in the finish. O'LONERA (5) and SIN TO WIN (2) are others to consider. SELECTIONS: Steel Prince can be too sharp.

Eagle Farm: Race 2 @ 1:30pm

Expecting Dream Kisses, Mail Escort and Star Boy to show early speed. SPIN (14) was a beaten favourite at this course and distance last start but did work to the line solidly after being inconvenienced at the start. That was a C6 so enjoys a handy drop in grade. Rates well clear of this field. Has found the right race. DREAM KISSES (8) led and kept going to win at Doomben last start following a good resuming second. In form and at her peak. Drawn to threaten. MAIL ESCORT (7) has been good when placed at both runs this time in. Won his only previous third up run and has upside. STAR BOY (4) will be improved by the resuming run and gets Lloyd in the saddle. TOTALLY CHARMED (5) was a bit disappointing last time but can do better. SELECTIONS: Spin is well placed back in grade. Backing to win.

Morphettville: Race 8 @ 5:40pm (AEST)

Not hectic speed here. Good Redelva Stakes to end the day and ANJANA (7) is the one to beat. She has put both fields away so far this prep. Consider she was close up in a Thousand Guineas and has form around Mystic Journey. Must be the one. BEHEMOTH (3) did some nice things when last in work. Has trialled again since and will be finishing it hard. HUMMA HUMMA (9) was not far away in better company in Sydney. Gets a lovely run here. LAKE DISTRICT GIRL (10) enjoys this track. May not have to be a leader now. SELECTIONS: Want to be backing Anjana.

Irish-bred stayer Shraaoh followed placings at his three prior starts, the most recent when second in the Chairman's Handicap (Gr 2, 2600m) here on April 6, to score a solid win in this Group 1. He settled in eighth place, on the rails, improved (between runners) nearing the home turn, got a split to hit the front at the 200m and then fought back well under his limit weight (51kg) to win well. It was also a good ride by Jay Ford. Vengeur Masque raced in fifth place, improved well (wide) coming to the home turn, challenged strongly at the 200m and then battled well for a very good second. New Zealand stayer Glory Days settled back in 14th place from her difficult barrier (18), started a move (deep) from the 600m, moved up quickly (centre of the track) to go to third at the 100m and then fought well to hold that position. Another New Zealand stayer Rondinella travelled nicely in seventh place, got into clear running at the 300m and kept battling well from that point for (2.9 lengths) fourth. The favourite, the Charlie Appleby-trained Dubhe, settled back in 12th place on the rails, was under pressure from Kerrin McEvoy at the 700m and he just battled from that point to finish (7.4 lengths) 12th at his first Australian start.
