Champion mare Winx smashed TAB betting records with her career ending win Queen Elizabeth Stakes h at Royal Randwick.

$3.967 million was wagered on Winx to win her final race with TAB receiving their biggest ever Fixed Odds win bet of $550,000 at $1.06, which resulted in a $33,000 profit for the TAB customer in question.

“Today’s Fixed Odds win hold of almost $4 million on Winx shatters the record that was held in last October’s Cox Plate when the champion mare held $3.104 million,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.

“$50 million has been wagered on Winx throughout her illustrious career with TAB Fixed Odds and her payout – combining Fixed Odds and pari-mutuel betting – is close to $130 million.”

Winx’s starting price of $1.06 in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Royal Randwick is the second-shortest TAB Fixed Odds price during her 33-race winning streak after she jumped $1.05 in the George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill Gardens on March 23.
