Punter Lands Three Massive Multis

3 minute read

Winx was the headline act at Randwick but one TAB punter was just as thrilled with another Chris Waller-trained winner after Verry Elleegant was victorious in the Australian Oaks.

The TAB customer collected $295,652 after spending $648 in total on three separate five leg Multis with the final leg of five races requiring Verry Elleegant to win the Australian Oaks at Royal Randwick this afternoon.

“After placing three Multis on March 31, the punter had to endure an anxious moment before the Australian Oaks (Race 6) as Avantage had to finish in the placings of the Arrowfield Sprint (Race 5) to keep all three Multi bets alive,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.

“Avantage managed to finish third in the Arrowfield Sprint and then 35 minutes later, the punter celebrated as Verry Elleegant strode away from her rivals to win the Australian Oaks.”

The other legs of these Multis were races from Day 1 of The Championships and involved Noble Boy in the Country Championships Final, Santa Ana Lane in the T.J. Smith Stakes and Brutal in the Doncaster Mile.

In the five races that the TAB customer in question bet on, Avantage was the only horse not to win the race, but luckily for the punter, they only needed the filly to finish in the placings instead of winning outright.
