Classique Legend Firms For The Everest

3 minute read

Exciting 3YO Classique Legend has been an immediate firmer after he became the second sprinter locked in for a start in The Everest at Randwick on October 19.

Hong Kong-based owner Bon Ho and Carmel Size Racing secured a berth for Classique Legend with their purchase of an Everest slot from GPI Racing.

Classique Legend tightened from $15 to $11 with TAB Fixed Odds as a result of the announcement.

Classique Legend was a $26 chance following his victory in the Arrowfield Sprint on Day 2 of The Championships last month and firmed to $15 three days later.

“Even though Classique Legend has only raced on four occasions for three wins and a third placing, there is plenty of excitement regarding the current three-year-old gelding trained by Les Bridge,” said TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.

Classique Legend is the second acceptor for the third edition of The Everest after Pierata – $7 with TAB Fixed Odds – was confirmed as the Aquis Farm runner last week for the world’s richest race on turf.
