Four of the 12 slots in the TAB Everest at Randwick on October 19 have been filled with McEvoy Mitchell Racing’s Sunlight securing her berth thanks to the slot held by Max Whitby and Neil Werrett.

Following the announcement, Sunlight tightened from $11 to $9 with TAB Fixed Odds.

“Sunlight announced herself as a future star of Australian racing when she was victorious in last year’s Magic Millions 2YO Classic at Gold Coast followed by wins in the Sliver Slipper and Magic Night Stakes,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.

“After finishing third in the Golden Slipper won by Estijaab, Sunlight won three Group 1s as a three-year-old; the Coolmore Stud Stakes on Victoria Derby Day at Flemington, the Newmarket Handicap in a field of 22 runners and the William Reid Stakes.”

Sunlight joins Pierata and Classique Legend in the TAB Everest along with TAB’s representative for the world’s richest race on turf, five-time Group 1 winner Santa Ana Lane.
