Post race stewards reports from recent meetings.

RANDWICK – June 6

Race 2: Frenzied - Co trainer Adrian Bott was interviewed regarding the tactics adopted on Frenzied in this race. Bott advised that the instructions issued at Randwick on May 25 were to be positive in the early stages and to travel with cover. He said that in this race Frenzied raced without cover and to offset this settled more prominently than had been anticipated. 

He said the instructions issued on June 8 were consisted with those on 25 May at Randwick and whilst acknowledging Frenzied settled differently in the relevant events he did express some surprise with the gelding racing midfield at its most recent start. He added that it was the stable intention to have Frenzied positioned consistently in both events with its established racing pattern.

Bott was advised that whilst stewards accepted that there had been no significant alteration to the instructions nonetheless the manner in which Frenzied was positioned  has varied and he was reminded of his obligation to ensure that he complies with the provisions of AR100(1).

GOSFORD - June 13

Race 6: Nostro Re – Trainer Jason Deamer advised that he was satisfied with the post-race condition of the gelding.

ROSEHILL June 15

Race 9: Americana Magic – Trainer Grant Allard reported that a veterinary examination conducted on June 17 did not reveal any abnormalities. Allard endorsed the views expressed by Tim Clark that the gelding may not have been entirely comfortable in the track conditions.

Race 5: Quackerjack – Trainer Mark Newnham advised that he was satisfied with the post-race condition of the gelding, however will now be spelled.

KEMBLA GRANGE - June 15

Race 3: Vivaro – Trainer James Cummings advised that he was satisfied with the post-race condition of the filly.

Race 6: Happy Seventy – Trainer Gwenda Markwell advised that she was satisfied with the post-race condition of the gelding.
