Today’s Horse Racing Tips – June 21

3 minute read

Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on June 21.

Racecourse : Coffs Harbour (Australia)
Racecourse : Coffs Harbour (Australia)

Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Coffs Harbour, Pakenham, Rockhampton & Canberra Acton.

Coffs Harbour: Race 3 @ 1:20pm

A cracking tempo headed by Gorush Lightning. HELLENISM (10) was impossible to miss on debut last time out over 1200m at this track, spotting the leaders a big start before charging home into 2nd spot. Will relish the extra trip today. With the scratchings she comes into gate nine and there is a long run to the first turn. COS I'M GOOD (1) made it five minors from seven runs when he worked home stoutly to grab 2nd in a Class 1 over the mile here recently. Back in trip but poses a threat returning to maiden company. GORUSH LIGHTNING (3) has been about the mark all prep and will make his own luck in front. SAVANNA JEUNE (13) strips fitter second up and can play a major role. SELECTIONS: #10 Hellenism looks very smart and should get away with this.

Canberra: Race 2 @ 12:30pm

Starskin draws handy and might get a soft lead. WE COULD BE HEROES (1) has missed a lip the last three including first-up this venue two weeks ago. Quickened nicely when asked and was just run over by the impressive Farthing Wood. He gets the handy claim and rates to go one better at odds. STARSKIN (5) disappointed at Goulburn off the heavily-backed and deserved Wagga Maiden win. You’d have to stretch the memory to recall the last time Matt Cahill rode for the Matt Dale yard, and the filly will be given every chance. BOOM QUEEN (2) is busting to win and just missed here third-up. She draws well with a weight drop and will be right in it. WITHORN (6) worked to the speed and spaced the Maiden here on the same day. Reacted to the visors and gets the chance to repeat with another good Miller ride from the wide gate. STRATUM'S ROSE (3) had no luck resuming and expect quick improvement. SELECTIONS: Hard to go past #1 We Could Be Heroes.

Pakenham Synthetic: Race 8 @ 4:30pm

Saucy Jack and Typhoon Rubi are capable of leading. This is open. SAUCY JACK (1) runs along and will be better for the two runs back in stronger grade. Didn’t have the best of luck late the latest and will be tough to beat with the handy claim. CAN'T REMEMBER (13) improved again winning the 58 by a space this venue 21 days ago. That stacks right up and he gets the chance to repeat drawn handy. TIGEEN (9) was back to his best placing at Seymour this grade and will use the rail. Gets Oliver and is a genuine hope. CRIMSON TEARS (4) will be better for the first-up run in stronger and is a second-up winner who is respected. SELECTIONS: With #1 Saucy Jack and an each way basis.
