A big field but not a great deal of early pace on offer. Expect a big form turnaround today from EXCLUSIVE (4). Scored a huge win over this course and distance two starts back, winding up from the back of the field to salute by over 2 lengths. Failed over the mile last time but worth another chance back in this scenario. JEXERLENT (1) closed nicely to finish 2nd recently in a similar race to this at Kempsey. Carries weight well and his best form is at seven furlongs. SAXOPHONE (2) battled on fairly to just miss a place over a shorter trip at Lismore last Monday. Can improve over more ground on the quick turnaround. MELTED MOMENTS (7) best of the rest. SELECTIONS: #4 Exclusive to bounce back to winning form.

Ballarat Synthetic Race 6 @ 4.00pm

Telemarketer, Say Good Night and Sheet Lightning to battle for early supremacy. URBAN LUMBERJACK (3) returned from a two-month layoff with an eye-catching 2nd over 1200m at this track last start, closing to within a length after spotting the leaders four on the corner. Sure to prove hard to hold out over a further 200m today. SHEET LIGHTNING (2) worked into the race before the corner then ground out a tough maiden win over 1200m here last time out. Loving this surface of late and can go on with the job over the longer trip. LAMINGTON DRIVE (1) cannot be left out first up from a spell. Placed over this distance on debut to kick off last prep and is yet to miss a trifecta spot in five appearances. DAME VASSA (9) has placed at her last two, both over this course and distance, so she must be included in calculations. SELECTION: #3 Urban Lumberjack to win.
