Ebor Handicap winner Mustajeer is now equal favourite for the Caulfield Cup and second favourite for the Melbourne Cup.

Mustajeer was $26 for the Caulfield Cup before the Ebor Handicap and is now one of seven horses sharing TAB favouritism at $15 for the $5 million feature to be run on October 19.

Mustajeer was $51 for the Melbourne Cup prior to the Ebor Handicap win. The Australian Bloodstock-owned galloper is now $17 at TAB with only equal favourites Cross Counter and Marmelo ahead of him in the betting.

The $8 million Melbourne Cupo wil bne run at Flemington on November 5.

Australian trainer Kris Lees will take over the training of Mustajeer once the gelding is transferred from the Irish stable of Ger Lyons.

Nominations for this year's Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup close on Thursday August 29.
