Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for August 26.

Lismore: Race 4 @ 3.05pm

Korrin showed pace on debut and is the likely leader. SHISHAQ (6) returned from a 38-week spell with a tough 4th over 1200m at the Gold Coast after racing up on the speed. Rated highly that day and will take a lot from the hitout. Over a slightly longer trip today with added fitness he is the one to beat. SOCIAL ORDER (14) is a debutante by Makfi from a Hussonet mare with four winners from as many foals to race. Doing enough at the trials to suggest she can run a big race first up out of the inside stall. LAKE HILLIER (4) made it two placings in a row this prep when he chimed in late to finish 2nd over 1200m at Ipswich. Draws a good gate for a change and is one to watch for late in the piece. MONTE SANTO (5) is capable of improvement back to a more suitable trip third up from a spell. SELECTION: #6 Shishaq is ready to win.

Bathurst: Race 1 @ 12.55pm

Flag Of Nations and Redjina to press forward. REDJINA (9) led into the straight but couldn't keep going when 5th over this trip at Newcastle last start. Finds a far easier maiden today and at just his third start has plenty of scope for improvement. G Ryan taking the mount is noteworthy. FLAG OF NATIONS (3) is worth some thought coming back from provincial to country racing. Freshened up since a disappointing run at Gosford a month ago but form before that was sound. REWARDED PRINCESS (10) improved out of sight last time when a flashing 2nd over 1100m at Forbes. Will be spotting them a start again but is capable of a big final split. AUSTRALIANO (5) did little on debut last start but is sure to improve. SELECTION: #9 Redjina to win a pretty thin maiden.

Swan Hill: Race 6 @ 3.00pm

HAPAIRA (2) finished among the placegetters last start at Moe in soft going and should be at peak now. Good rating when winning on debut and that performance showed there was plenty of talent there. Clear top pick. SHE'S BENEFICIAL (1) ran sixth last start at Sandown-Hillside over 1300m and back to the country she should be in the finish. LIFE IN MANHATTAN (8) lifted strongly when winning by half a length two runs back at Mildura and has a good draw today. JUST STELLAR (7) is resuming after three months. Finished off last prep with a third at Wangaratta. One to consider with a market lead. SELECTION: #2 Hapaira can be too good here.
