Talented mare Pippie is now unbeaten in three starts this preparation and she staged a good performance in recording her first stakes success here, her fourth win from six starts to date. She began quickly as usual and then travelled well in the lead. She grabbed clear advantage nearing the 100m and then went on to win well. Spanish Whisper raced in sixth place, one off the rails, moved up nicely on straightening and kept running on to take second, without threatening the winner, in a sound first-up run. Sylvia's Mother had a good trip in fifth place on the rails, got through on the inner rounding the home turn, challenged at the 200m and then battled on quite well for third. Embrace Me showed good pace and after racing in second place to the home turn, held on nicely for (1.7 lengths) fourth. Fidelia made good ground from eighth at the home turn for fifth at her first run back while Amphitrite caught the eye, running on from near last for (2.3 lengths) sixth in a good first-up effort.
