The Chris Walker-trained import Finche has eased as favourite for Saturday's Caulfield Cup following his wide barrier draw.
Connections drew barrier 19, which includes emergencies, for the last start runner-up in the Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington on October 5.
Prior to that placing Finche – who finished third in last year's Geelong Cup and fourth in the Melbourne Cup – was victorious in the Kingston Town Stakes at Randwick on September 7.
Japan's Mer De Glace has won his last five races but the five-year-old horse has eased from $7 to $8 after drawing gate 21 of 22 (including emergencies).
Mustajeer and Mr Quickie both remain $9 chances at TAB.
Constantinople is one galloper that fared well at the barrier draw and has subsequently firmed from $11 to $9 after connections drew barrier seven.
Vow And Declare, who resumed with a fourth in the Turnbull Stakes, stayed at $11.
Bets of $2,500 and $1,000 at $11 were placed on Vow And Declare before the barrier draw. He won the Tattersall's Cup at Eagle Farm after a runner-up finish to Mr Quickie in the Queensland Derby at Eagle Farm on June 8.
