Mornington: Race 6 @ 4.00pm

Chaba Charli and Miss Sav to vie for the early lead. JENNIBEEL (6) was only second up last time out when she charged home from well back on the corner to get up for 2nd over 1600m at Seymour. Had one run at this trip last prep for an effortless win. Ready to peak third up. MISS SAV (8) got to the lead on straightening but found one better close to home, with a good gap to 3rd, last start over 1600m at Tatura. Very fit mare who should enjoy getting out to this distance. BLOND RULER (5) worked home well without threatening and just missed a place recently over 1500m at this circuit. Won her maiden by a big margin over this course and distance last prep. In the mix if she finds that sort of form. WOLFE TONE (3) has placed 5/9 at ten furlongs but is not a regular in the winner's stall. Each-way prospect. SELECTION: Very keen on #6 Jennibeel out to this trip.

Grafton: Race 5 @ 3.40pm

Crackaview and Nicconi Lass will vie for early honours. ONE FOR BETTY (3) is the one to beat first up from a 278-day break. Closed her last prep with a very good 2nd over 1350m at Doomben in a race that has thrown up six subsequent winners. Trialed well recently and has placed 2/2 when fresh. SAVANNA JEUNE (5) broke the maiden last time out by the skin of her teeth over 1020m at this track. Has always shown ability and can kick on now. SHEZANDI AS (2) is an honest mare resuming from a 24-week break. Formerly trained in Victoria and now with Bruce Hill. In the money at six of her eight runs. A couple of sound recent trials suggest she is ready to add to that record while fresh. CRACKAVIEW (4) is speedy and can give plenty of cheek. SELECTION: #3 One For Betty can win first up.
