Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at metropolitan TAB meetings for October 26.
Moonee Valley: Race 4 @ 1.50pm
VILLAMI (3) did a bit of work in the run last time in a deeper race than this. Sound effort, she kept coming at two good fillies, and the month between runs is ideal. Her Randwick second to Libertini is great form. WAYUPINTHESKY (1) has run two big races down the straight and measures right up for a yard having a great run with their fillies. DON'TTELLTHEBOSS (6) has been running above her odds and goes in the mix, as does VARDA (7) who will find this tougher but gets into a great spot. LANKAN STAR (2) has ability - just needs to find it. SELECTION: #3 Villami can be too fast.

Randwick: Race 6 @ 3.55pm
MASTER OF WINE (7) couldn't have been more impressive at this track last start when spacing his rivals over 2000m. On trial at the trip, but he gives the impression it will suit and he should prove very hard to beat. RAPIDO CHAPARRO (6) continued his upward spiral last start when far too good in the Port Macquarie Cup. Trending the right way and should take plenty of catching. ATTENTION RUN (4) closed off well in the Metrop last start and has to be respected back in this grade, while MASTER OF ARTS (1) also holds claims. SELECTION: Siding with #7 Master Of Wine.
Morphettville: Race 8 @ 5.56pm (AEDT)
DESPACITO (4) would prefer it to be strongly run but her comeback win was a cracker. She was last to first in it and it is a good sign for a mare like her to return in that fashion. FLOP (3) has run consistently all through this campaign. She is well placed after the 3kg claim. BAYOU (2) is very much in the same boat. Will get a lovely run all the way. CARLALUISA (5) will look to settle close here. The added ground should help. MISS MOSH (9) backs up and is racing well. SELECTION: If #4 Despacito runs to that level again she's the one.
Eagle Farm: Race 10 @ 6.12pm (AEDT)
MACEWEN (1) impressed when he strode clear for an easy 2.8L win at this course and distance last start. Up in weight but rated highly in that win and he looks capable of going on with the job. FRANGIPANI MOON (10) is a consistent mare who has placed at his past three starts since a Doomben win. Hasn't missed a place at this distance and expect her to be in the finish again. PINNACLE STAR (3) was runner up to Macewen last start and meets him better at the weights so can bridge the gap. THE ADMINISTRATOR (7) is consistent and has exotic claims. SELECTION: #1 Macewen to win again.
Ascot: Race 7 @ 7.20pm (AEDT)
ROCKY PATH (13) will find this much easier than her latest attempt. Was racing well before that with a win and a second from her previous two at Belmont. Suited back to this grade and has each way appeal. SOPHIE'S SONG (3) hasn't raced since May but is a consistent mare coming off a nice trial and has drawn ideally. SILKINIZE (11) is unbeaten against his own age and steps up here from a wide gate. In light so with any luck he can be a factor. FORGOTTEN STAR (9) has ability and resumes with a handy fresh record. Stretched out to 2000m last time. Keep in mind. SELECTION: #13 Rocky Path has each way appeal.
