Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on November 9.
It's the final day of the 2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival from Flemington and the bumper card is well supported by meetings at Rosehill, Doomben, Morphettville Parks and Ascot.
Flemington: Race 2 @ 12:50pm
We're sticking with the strength for our bet of the day with the Cup-winning stable throwing the saddle on another terrific chance in Grinzinger Star. He ran well at Caulfield last time in the face of a sharp change in tempo race-to-race. He came through a very slowly run race first up and found himself in a high-pressure 1700m which he stood up to fairly well given the circumstances. That can bring him to his top now, and his top stands out against the opposition on Saturday with a string of ratings last preparation that sit above where the others have been. Read More

Progressive mare Golden Mean looks well placed on a competitive day of racing at Doomben on Saturday. The David Vandyke-trained four-year-old has her third hitout for the season in the Summer Racing @BRC Benchmark 70 Handicap over 1350m. Golden Mean has done a good job so far this campaign, kicking off with a win at this course when she found the line strongly over 1200m to score comfortably. Read More

Another week, another day of small numbers in the Adelaide metro card so it's not easy finding value. Happy to stay with one who has been good to us in the past as Tongsai Boss drops back to 1400m but is still the one to beat. Read More

There is Group 2 action with the Lee Steere Stakes in Perth and there are many hopes in that race. So we'll go away from that and back the one William Pike has chosen to ride in Race 3. That is Western Temple who won over this course and distance two weeks back. He sat just off the speed then and can do exactly the same from barrier 3 in this. Read More
