Bendigo: Race 4 @ 2:10pm
From the wide draw Overkill will try to cross and set up a solid tempo. OVERKILL (5) should take some getting past. He's a lovely horse who created an impression winning three races on the trot. Not sighted since a gritty win at MV in March. Has the form on the board and should find the lead rather comfortably with the lack of tempo. HI STRANGER (2) performed well right up to listed grade last preparation. Trained locally and the booking of Pike is a plus. BLOOD OATH (10) was too bad to be true last start at Cranbourne. He's back from the 1400m and should cut all the corners from the inside gate. Improvement expected. RIDING THE WAVE (7) and QUEEN LA DIVA (6) best of the rest. SELECTION: #5 Overkill to continue the picket fence.

Randwick Kensington: Race 3 @ 3.10pm
Little early speed and with a lack of a leader both Chalmers and No Escape could well find themselves in front. DREAM CIRCLE (5) is knocking on the door. Strong effort from the back when placed to Bombasay eleven days ago. Overdue to win one of these and should get every chance stepping to 1550m. WAIRERE FALLS (4) was making his NSW debut at Hawkesbury last start where he reeled them in impressively from the rear. Open to good improvement and will relish the long straight. CHALMERS (1) has won two on end, at Newcastle & Port Macquarie. Has performed well with highweights in the past and Bullock has a freakish record aboard the six year old. Keep safe. MAJELLA (7) and NOTABADIDEA (6) for the multiples. SELECTION: #5 Dream Circle gets the nod back to midweek company.
Strathalbyn: Race 7 @ 5.00pm
Expecting Shining Mane to take up the running and set a moderate tempo. JACK'S A CRACKER (1) runs along and spaced them this trip at Gawler in the 58 and then was plain there after and forgiving that. Draws to advantage and a good apprentice goes on. He rates to win and can bounce. TURNPIKE (10) made sharp improvement behind Keysore 5 days ago at Gawler and fourth-up won't have to improve much to make the finish. BELEURA DEMON (6) was much better two back at Gawler and has excuses after. Gets the claim and won't be far away. GOLDIE GURU (5) resumes off a Group 3 over a staying trip. It wouldn't surprise if she's wound up for a first-up go and the late market will tell. SELECTION: #1 Jack's A Cracker looks suited.
Launceston: Race 1 @ 6.20pm
The Risk Factor and Warpedo are the most likely to run them along. SUPALOPO (3) resumes off the two placings this venue and ran favourite the latest. Owns a trial win and will be improved and take beating for the Trinder yard. WARPEDO (8) runs along and just missed here 18 days ago getting close to her Victorian best. She has the speed to manage the wide gate and looks capable of making the quinella. RUN DANCE FLY (7) is a Victorian who was beaten 2L here at her first run for the yard and the 4kg claim brings her into it again. NEEDS MORE LOVE (6) was okay resuming in the same race and expect the speedy mare to keep improving. SELECTION: A good kicking off point for #3 Supalopo.
