Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for December 13.
Canberra: Race 3 @ 2:15pm
No designated leader and Big Steve may do the job. CROWNED BY ACES (2) presented off a string of sharp trials to go down 1L on debut at Newcastle. That reads extra well for this contest and he will have come on. Keeps Loy and is the one to beat. CHATEAUX PARK (1) was close-up here resuming coming from the back. He has more up the sleeve and gets one more chance. TOO MUCH CLASS (10) is in a leading metro yard and was beaten a lip at first-up at Orange when expected to win. This is a step-up but he gets the hot hoop and will have come on. Wary. KUNG FU MUSHU (9) resumes for Team Snowden off a couple of Randwick trial hit outs. Will come back improved and gets a soft run from the rail. The market will tell but it's hard to risk the yard when they race here. BIG STEVE (5) will run them along and can't be ruled out on the latest effort. SELECTION: Backing the promising #2 Crowned By Aces to win.

Sunshine Coast: Race 4 @ 4:05pm (AEDT)
KINGSTON'S HERE (6) was immediately-spelled following a terrific debut effort. Jumped cleanly but was forced to ease back from the wide gate to find a position. Buried amongst runners rounding the bend, he was the only horse to make substantial ground from the back behind the leader/winner Tramonto. Immediately tipped out by the O'Dea camp and here he is. His trial at Doomben recently was sharp. Smart horse. PHANTOM SPIRIT (9) hasn't been sighted since finishing fourth in that same Tramonto race here in July. That's the right form and he's to be respected. Home track advantage and he too has trialled up impressively. SIZZLING TOUCH (8) is drawn for the suck run on debut. In good hands and should be thereabouts. JUST A PATSY (5) will need luck from out there but he showed enough last campaign to be competitive. Beaten favourite behind Nicks at this venue in the winter. ZOU ZOU KACANARKIS (15) for the multiples. SELECTION: #6 Kingston's Here. Backing to win.
Hawkesbury: Race 6 @ 4:50pm
Expecting a very fast pace with Heza Gentleman, Tearaway Charlie and Sam Spade leading the charge early. NUCLEAR SUMMIT (1) was safely held at Warwick Farm on resumption. He was very wide throughout and entitled to tire. He's 2/2 at Hawkesbury and if you assess his provincial form only then his record reads much better. Quickly up to 1400m with some gear changes. Should improve sharply. TRI NATIONS (7) is ready third-up. Huge in defeat at Wyong most recently. Winning record isn't flash but he's a chance on the basis of his last start. JUNGLE BOOK (2) is now with Clare Cunningham. He's won three of his past four, albeit over slightly further. Not the worst in this line-up. SAM SPADE (5) and ROMAN WOLF (3) both have place claims. SELECTION: #1 Nuclear Summit is a solid each-way wager.
Bunbury: Race 4 @ 6:05pm (AEDT)
Redmill likely to lead with Crescent City and Jolly Odd close up. CRESCENT CITY (5) had trialled well and was wide placing here on debut as favourite. Draws low and fitter should be winning for the hot Pike-Williams linkage. TENA KOUTOU (6) is also in good hands and the debut run was good beaten 2L. Was expected to need it and can make the finish today fitter and with the winkers on first time. TYPHOON BEN (3) was tracking well before the latest when caught wide. Draws out but won't be far away. REDMILL (1) gets the ace draw and 2kg claim and may be best of the rest. SELECTION: #5 Crescent City should have them covered.
