Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Hawkesbury and Warrnambool.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 8 @ 4:45 PM

SIRENS (3) resumed with the Maiden win at Gosford and then was slow off not beaten far at Kembla Grange racing favourite again. Gets Berry who will use the low gate and fitter the colt can bounce back. SMART SUCCESS (8) placed first up and it was a big effort at Newcastle. She has more to give and Rawiller's booking is a positive. SWEEPING BROOK (1) need the run first-up and he will be much more competitive. Gets the rail and Parr and the blinkers go on again. ASTERO (5) resumes as a gelding and brings good figures. Draws for a soft run and the early market says he's on-song.
SELECTIONS: Going with Sirens.

WARRNAMBOOL: RACE 8 @ 3:30 PM

FIFTH POSITION (9) is a former UK galloper who will win comfortably if presented on-song. In a sharp yard and Lane is booked. Has trialled well and is thrown in at the weights. CHANTREA (7) brought 3 close-up efforts at Group level in WA to resumption when just nudged out at Bendigo. Gets the weight drop and Oliver today and has won 2/3 second-up. Briefly freshened she will be hard to roll. DUKE OF PLUMPTON (12) was straight back into it missing at lip at Caulfield in the 84 and didn't get it easy. He has more to give and is a serious player. A gap to the rest and the market will guide.
SELECTIONS: A terrific contest. Fifth Position appeals.
