Saturday's metropolitan meeting will be held at Gosford with a heavy track expected for the nine race program.

All in all it's a fairly decent card though unfortunately the Gosford Cup is set to fall right away with the Wagga Cup run on Friday.

Leading chances Spirit Ridge, Paths Of Glory and The Lord Mayor all elected for the drier track with 43% now to come out of the market.

Current favourite Polly Grey now faces a far easier assignment and should prove hard to beat with Berry aboard.

The inaugural running of The Coast is on Saturday with a field of 13 set to face the starter.

The Chris Waller trained Wheelhouse wasn't entirely disgraced in the Doncaster last start and is sure to appreciate the drop back in grade.

His two efforts prior in the Randwick and Rosehill Guineas leave him well placed at the weights and keeping him fresh (28 days) looks another tick.

Tommy Berry takes over and he is expected to settle a lot closer from the middle draw.

Wheelhouse has performed well on heavy tracks previously and if able to run up to his best he looks very hard to beat.

In the first event the Gary Frazer trained Anagain looks well placed to return to the winner's stall having won on debut at this track over 1100m.

A surprise winner (25-1) on that occasion she went on to confirm it was no fluke when second behind Paulele in the Kindergarten Stakes.

She rates highly off the back of that and while the inside draw is a bit icky for a backmarker, with good speed on the gaps should open up for her.

On her last start she appears the most talented and if able to hold her form up to 1200m she should prove hard to hold out.
