A rain soaked Rosehill faces punters on Saturday with the first kicking off at 11:30am.

The meeting at this stage looks fairly solid though it could be ripped apart by scratchings, fingers crossed that doesn't eventuate.

We'll have to show a bit of patience waiting for our Best Bet with Wairere Falls lining up in the last race at 4:25pm.

Rock solid in both starts this time in the Chris Waller trained galloper should be right at his top third up and looks well placed in the 1500m event.

An eye catcher late first up behind Charleise we saw another victim claimed by the coffin last start when a narrow second behind Great House.

Just didn't get the run when he needed to but was very game in defeat.

Looks to land in the coffin (leader's back) again on Saturday so hoping he has a touch more luck this time around.

The half-brother to Sacred Falls he should have no problems with the prospect of a wet track and has placed in five of six attempts over this trip.

Wary of his stablemate Criminal Code though hoping Wairere Falls is off and gone before McDonald is able to get Criminal Code into the race.

Do have to be wary of the 'unlucky runner last start' as they often go around unders but better than 3-1 about Wairere Falls looks a more than worthy gamble.

Not the biggest fan of betting in Highways though hard not to when Dale books McDonald for Cavalier Charles.

Have always had plenty of time for this horse and it was hard not to love his return at Nowra.

Ridden cold by Heywood he was forced to the outside fence around the turn before picking them up in a few strides.

He returned a new career peak and Dale has since kept him on ice waiting for this Highway.

Only lightly raced a genuine heavy track is some query however the wide draw may play into his favour.

Either way trust in McDonald to get him to the right part of the track and with clear air he should be able to round them up.
