Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 18.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Geelong, Coffs Harbour, Sunshine Coast, Canberra Acton and Carnarvon.
GEELONG: RACE 6 @ 3:00 PM
GARIMPEIRO (2) has returned this campaign in excellent order. Should be at his peak for this assignment and is expected to give this a shake. BREEZE 'N' LUNA (12) has had the two runs back following a break with both efforts being solid. Suited in this line up and is worthy of respect. FIGHTING WHISKEY (10) hit the line strongly when coming off a freshen up. Fitter and suited in this line up. Has solid claims. SPIRIT OF GOLD (11) disappointed last time but previous run was solid at Australian debut and is worth another chance.
SELECTIONS: Back Garimpeiro to win.

COFFS HARBOUR: RACE 3 @ 1:20 PM
LOOKONCHINA (9) has done everything but win placing in the top five at all seven career starts and strikes a winnable race here. Has placed at this track and is drawn perfectly for Bennett in gate two. Will be nearing peak fitness fourth-up from the spell and rates the testing material. Former Victorian BLADNOCH (2) wasn't far away at his first run in the region when a handy second at Port Macquarie. Rolls was in the saddle for that placing and sticks. Has placed over the journey and looks a major player. AUSBRED COOEE (1) placed at his past three runs before the spell and can show up fresh. HOOYAH (7) gets 1.5kg off with the claim and can earn a cheque. HARDEDGE (4) was a solid second here last time out and is one for the exotics.
SELECTIONS: Lookonchina to win.
SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 7 @ 6:15 PM
L'COSMO (13) resumes at Listed level unfancied and can make quick improvement. Wasn't far away the same company three-back and he wins at best. Uses the rail and the top hoop rides for the sharp barn. RENOUF (15) has won the last three and has been doing it comfortably. They stack right up and he's a serious player. JETSKI (11) placed first-up at Doomben and is improved. The gate is sticky but fitter he can make the finish. DREAMREACHER (8) has more to give second-up and is also in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Going with L'Cosmo.
CANBERRA ACTON: RACE 7 @ 3:35 PM
RED KANZI (7) did a big job first-up just nudged-out in the 58 and is improved. She won't have to improve much to take it out. RIVER MAC (5) presents off the Wagga Maiden win and Penza sticks. Fitter he's capable of making the finish. WICKED WILLY (8) resumes owning a Warwick Farm trial win and draws low with the leading rider booked. Is likely to have improved sufficiently to be a player. DISSEDGE (6) is well into the campaign but rates well at best and gets the blinkers first time. Cahill's booking encourages.
SELECTIONS: Leaning to Red Kanzi.
