Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings today are held at Ballarat, Orange, Bairnsdale, Bordertown and Bunbury.
SANDOWN-LAKESIDE: RACE 5 @ 2:45PM
BARBIE'S FOX (11) impressed on the Hillside first-up and then wasn't far away at Flemington. Fitter now and the mile suits. Gets in well with the 2kg claim and will take beating. RIGHT YOU ARE (1) was solid resuming in stronger class at Caulfield. He's sharp second-up and has plenty up the sleeve. Gets a soft run from the rail and Oliver sticks. A danger. OH MO (9) is much better than the formline suggests. Two-back was beaten 1.9L the a Group 3 in Adelaide and that's the best figure presenting here. Goes in. PETRUCHIO (6) will be better for two runs back this grade and was just pipped first-up at Flemington. Fitter he's also a player. MARITANA (2) has been knocking on the door and is in the mix. SELECTIONS: Backing Barbie's Fox.

RANDWICK KENSINGTON: RACE 3 @ 2:00PM
MY DEMETRA (3) is a very honest conveyance finishing in the top four at her past eight starts. Has a good second-up record with a win and two placings from four attempts and has placed over this course and distance. Looks the one they all have to run down. MOTHER'S MERCY (1) looked good when resuming with a win at Newcastle. Will strip fitter second-up and gets the benefit of the 2kg claim from Sherry. Has to be included. CANADIAN SPICE (6) rarely runs a bad race and is a winner over this journey. In the mix. RACCOLTO (9) broke through last time out and can go right on with the job now. TWICE ON SUNDAY (7) has put two wins together on the bounce and will be full of confidence. Hard to ignore winning form. SELECTIONS: My Demetra to win.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 2 @ 2:18PM
MCCOVEY COVE (5) missed a lip twice before a slightly plainer effort third up (all at Doomben). Finally gets a low gate and a top rider sticks for the sharp yard. Will be at peak and rates the one to beat. SCATHING (1) quickly found form beaten 1.8L here second-up in stronger. Draws soft and the 3kg claim brings him into it. REBEL ROCK (2) has been getting back and matched his best beaten 2L at the Sunshine Coast in 80 grade. The grade and claim advantage but the rails barrier less so. A player if things go his way. MONTEZ (7) won this grade comfortably at Beaudesert first-up as expected. That stacks-up and fitter he can't be ruled out. SELECTIONS: Backing McCovey Cove.
