Race experience paid off when the Jake Toeroek guided Alpha Flight opened his winning campaign in the opening race of 1000 metres on the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday.

Continuing the good run of the father and daughter training duo of Richard and Chantelle Jolly Alpha Flight led all the way.

After suffering the disappointment of the retirement of the stable star Gytrash  co-trainers Gordon Richards and Damian Moyle bounced back when Magic Max took out the 1000 metre second race.

Having the services of apprentice Madison Lloyd Magic Max came from a worse than midfield position to record an impressive win.

Apprentice Alana Kelly kept the winning strike rate of visiting young riders going when she rode Lake's Folly to a win in the 1550 metre third race.

Coming out of the Murray Bridge stable of Michael Hickmott Lake's Folly came from well back with a strong run over the concluding stages.

The Mornington training combination of Dale and Coral Feek were delighted with the win of Art Major in the 2250 metre fourth race.

Guided to victory by Barend Vorster Art Major was well positioned in bringing up his third win from eighteen starts.

A showing jumping stint last Sunday paid off for Oakbank trainer Kirsten Mooney when her charge Love Magic took out the 1550 metre fifth race.

Having the services of Jacob Opperman Love Magic  came from a worse than midfield position with a strong late run over the concluding stages. 

Mixing distances from 1600metres last week to 1400 metres on Saturday paid off for the Karen Byrnes trained Rubble in the 1400 metre sixth race.

Ridden by Dom Tourneur Rubble maintained a forward position before going onto win.

The four-year-old Struck By brought up his second win in succession in the 1300 metre seventh race.

Giving apprentice Jacob Opperman his second win for the day the Travis Doudle prepared Struck By led all the way.

Coming off a last start sixth Rich Gina took out the 1400 metre eighth race.

Prepared on course by Peter Blanch and giving Dom Tourneur his second winner for the day Rich Gina was well placed.

Patrons were treated to a dead-heat when the judge could not separate Larkham and Bleriot in the final event of 1000 metres.

Being under the care of Ryan Balfour Larkham was well placed in giving apprentice Jacob Opperman two and a half wins for the day while the Will Clarken trained Todd Pannell ridden Bleriot was also well placed.
