ROSEHILL January 17: FIRE led for a strong win in the open 902m heat for 3YOs in fast time (52.68; 33.93). It appeals as a worthy form heat. Maiden heat winner MARS MISSION (53.05; 34.09) ran slower time but made an impression as he had a lot more to offer.
CANTERBURY December 21: First look at DAJRAAN, a UK-bred son of Frankel out of the Golden Slipper winner Mossfun. Left the UK after a 1400m win in August and is ready to go on with it after an impressive win in a fast 890m open heat (54.58; 35.31). Looked classy tracking the leader before moving up smoothly in the last 200m and doing his best work late to quickly put a 1.6 lengths margin on the opposition.
