Ran the fastest of the three 1030m heats (1.02.15; 35.00) but could have gone a lot quicker after he was cruising three lengths clear at the 150m before he was throttled down to score by a cost 1.8 lengths. He was also the pick of the maiden heat winners at Rosehill on January 2 and this effort confirmed his natural talent.
