RACE 4 (8) CAPTAIN STARDUST: Ranks among several highly promising types on this card stepping up in class. This one takes another step after he resumed with a strong 1300m win under 61.5kg at Rosehill to keep intact his perfect in the money record from five outings. He's already proven over this extra trip and holds ample scope to improve off his first-up win with the benefit of a 5.5kg drop in weight. Certain to give a bold sight.
RACE 5 (11) BANDERSNATCH: Going from strength to strength and it will take a big effort to run him down in this field with the weight advantage he holds sitting on the limit. He has been a class above his rivals in two dominant wins by big margins over 1300m and 1400m since resuming when he has carried 58kg both times and has had no trouble leading. The Randwick track favoured on pace runners on Thursday and a similar pattern will make him the one to beat.
RACE 6 (6) BIG PARADE: Yet another progressive improver who has won two of his three career starts in the style of a horse destined for better things. Came back from a break with an impressive win over 1100m at Gosford when he made light of 59.5kg in C2 company. He was placed in black type company at his second start and is well placed to make further improvement here with a 5kg drop in weight from his Gosford win.
