RACE 5 (1) KING'S LEGACY: His surging finish from last at the 800m to win the ATC Sires' Produce over 1400m two weeks ago after resuming in the Golden Slipper suggests that he will be even better over the extra 200m on a firmer track. The Sires' Produce form is the historic gold standard for this race and he clearly rates as the horse to beat with his expected scope for improvement.

RACE 7 (1) PIERATA: Sticking with last year's winner to end his career in glory. Comes to it off a similar prep to last year through heavy track runs in the Galaxy and TJ Smith and will find the step up to 1400m on a better surface just what he needs to produce his best. He was taken out of his comfort zone in the TJ Smith when he had to run big sectionals between the 600m and 200m wide from the back half before he peaked on his sprint 100m from the finish. This time he will be more comfortable over the extra trip and if he can travel with cover it will allow Tommy Berry to unleash his big finish.

RACE 8 (5) DEPRIVE: Promises to be a blue parade for Godolphin with little between their top notch trio TREKKING, KEMENTARI and this course specialist. It's DEPRIVE's amazing Randwick record (six wins from seven starts including three from three over this trip), his edge in race fitness, slight weight advantage and the James McDonald factor that tips the scales in his favour. The heavy track set him a task last time in the G1 Galaxy (1100m) at Rosehill when second up and he is sure to have taken improvement from that outing.
