NOBLE BOY (Clare Cunningham): His second trial for his new stable and obviously they have him in good form judging by his strong win a very competitive 794m heat in 46.75 (33.30). Travelled well behind the leaders and did as much as his rider Jason Collett allowed to gain the upper hand under a hold in the closing stages. This was a strong heat with some excellent trials behind him from BROKEN ARROWS, LASHES, CRACK ME UP and SUPERIUM.

AQUITAINE (James Cummings): Classy Godolphin runner came through the grades to Group company over the summer and looks set to go on with it after a pleasing first-up second in his 791m heat won by Advance Party in good time (46.41; 33.33). Travelled easily outside the lead and had plenty in hand in the run to the line.

SPACEBOY (Gary Portelli): We've seen it from him before but it begs belief how he is still a maiden (seven placings from nine starts) when he can produce trial form like this. Cruised away from his rivals in his 791m to score untouched by seven lengths in the fastest sectionals of the morning (46.40; 33.00).

HAWKESBURY April 23

Inside Grass; Good 4

6 Heats – 3 x 1000m (1 Open; 2 Maiden); 3 x 760m (2 2YO; 1 Open)

A small set of six heats that featured a handful of smart Godolphin performers. Most notable were the efforts of ISAURIAN and EXHILARATES in their 1000m heat, both showing they are in good form to resume.

The Brad Widdup-trained 2YO TYCOONIST impressed with his easy heat in the fastest of the three 760m heats (45.27) while his older maiden stablemate TRIESTE, previously noted when he won a Hawkesbury trial on April 6, again showed talent with his soft second in his 1000m heat.

NOTED TRIALS

X Exhilarates; Handspun; Isaurian; Maternal Gift; Pythia; Trieste; Tycoonist; Whitchety Grub; Whitehaven
