RACE 5 (9) ADELONG: First to admit this is a stronger race than she took on first-up at Canterbury but with 3kg less she gets the weights in her favour and will bank on her scope for improvement and the knowledge James McDonald will have gleaned from his first ride on the filly to make the difference. She has shown plenty to win three of her five starts and its obvious she still has more to offer.
RACE 7 (5) FITEUSE: Ready for the step up to black type level with her expected improvement from her impressive first-up win over 1000m on the Kensington track at Randwick two weeks ago when she easily overcame a wide barrier to extend her growing record to four wins from six starts. She will get all the favours this time from a soft inside draw and should have this field covered dropping 3kg off her first-up win.
RACE 8 (7) DELECTATION GIRL: Value play of the day in a tough Group race for fillies and mares on the strength of her efforts in harder Group races and her recent eye-catching trial at Gosford that has her primed to perform fresh off a five weeks break. The key factor is the booking of Hugh Bowman as his strength will suit her style in a race where she will appreciate the expected early pace.
