RANDWICK PARLAY

RACE 5 (9) UP TRUMPZ: Rarely disappoints and is well placed to run another bold city race for his Queanbeyan trainer Joe Cleary under favourable conditions as he produces his best on soft to heavy tracks. Excellent second over 1100m on the Kensington track when resuming last month and had excuses last time over this course and distance when he was given a negative ride from a wide barrier. James McDonald sticks as rider and with a 5.5kg drop off that run he can rebound at nice each way odds.

RACE 6 (5) MISTEED: Her liking for affected tracks makes her another value play on a tough day. She has consistently been an unlucky runner due to her pattern of getting back in traffic and that has been the case at her last two starts over this course and distance when being held up at critical times in strong form race behind Blazing Miss and Masked Crusader. Kerrin McEvoy knows her well, having ridden her in two of her three wins, and she can be in the finish if she gets a fair crack at them over the last 400m.

RACE 9 (9) ITZ LILY: Hard to miss her last start finish over 1550m on the Kensington track when she flew late after being badly held up for clear running from the 400m to the 200m. That was just her second start after a spell and sets her up for a peak effort over the mile on the bigger main track where she is a winner of her only start over 1800m, notably in heavy going. Suspect she is going to enjoy a strong preparation on winter tracks as she is yet to miss a place in five starts in soft and heavy going.

CANTERBURY May 29: High class sprinter CLASSIQUE LEGEND was a standout setting the time standard for the morning with his effortless 910m heat win (56.93; 35.43). He sat three four and deep from a wide gate travelling two lengths of the lead before cruising around them on the turn. He glided to a soft 2.3 lengths win, the heavy going not impeding his relaxed, fluent action.

Michael and Richard Freedman would be happy with the trial form of their recent acquisition NOT AN OPTION following his transfer from Kiwi trainer Tony Pike after he recorded a strong win in the fastest of the five 1100m heats (69.92; 37.69). It was a positive response to his first trial in blinkers.

RANDWICK May 15: Pat Webster gave former Kiwi filly SUPER SWISH her first Sydney trial and she made an instant impression with a classy win in the fastest of the five 742m heats (43.63; 33.04), sitting three wide outside the lead and pulling away under a quiet ride for a soft win. She had only two starts in NZ for an Avondale maiden win in January and looks capable of better things.

RECENT TRIAL WATCH WINNERS: Vulpine; Archery Butts; Conscript; Land Of Valens; Meadow Land; Le Gai Soleil; Tepario; Spirit Ridge; Tommy Gold; Hulk; Advance Party; Knight; Lost And Running; Secretly Awesome.
