RANDWICK June 26
A Grass; Heavy 8
14 Heats – 8 x 1045m (3 Open; 4 2YO; 1 Maiden); 6 x 742m (4 2YO; 2 3YO)
ALL CYLINDERS (Peter Robl): Sharp 3YO sprinter Racked up three wins on the bounce last prep in Sydney and Melbourne and looks to be in the right form to resume after trucking through his 742m heat in fast time (43.69) to score hard held by almost three lengths, the feature being the fastest last 600m in 32.99. Note he had gone six weeks since his previous trial when second at Randwick on May 15.
YARDSTICK (Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott): Criterion 2YO has come on since his only previous trial in January, showing natural pace and a good turn of foot to score easily by four lengths in his 742m heat in good time (44.0; 33.10).
Faretti trialled impressively at Randwick this morning, kicking clear to win by 3.5 lengths! The @GaiWaterhouse1-Bott 3YO will be looking to bring this form to the races after a 4-week freshen up. pic.twitter.com/RSzd4DwTJI
