The Stephen Gray trained Heavenly Dancer created quite the impression on debut and creates all the interest in the final event at Kranji on Saturday.
First up off a six month break, Heavenly Dancer overcame a slow beginning to loop the field and salute right in the shadows of the post.
Visually it was very impressive and the clock certainly backed up the strength of his performance.
Seem twice at the trials since, he appears in fine fettle, scoring by 3.3L in his most recent attempt under Vlad Duric.
Unfortunately Duric is suspended with Louis-Philippe Beuzelin taking over on Saturday.
While getting a long way back on debut, hoping he can be a lot more prominent, even though he's not the most reliable beginner.
In his trials he doesn't jump the best, but musters quickly and the step up to 1200m should further aid him in being more positive.
Not the be all and end all if he doesn't, but it's never easy giving your rivals such a big start when you are up in grade.
No doubt he is the best horse, just will likely take some time to iron out his chinks.
That being said, I've got to be with him, he's very progressive and while not many successfully make the jump from a maiden to Class 4, he ticks enough boxes to do so.
The Leticia Dragon trained Star Empire had clear excuses first up when pulling up lame near-fore.
Was sent out favourite there and has since trialled well.
Drawn to get a lovely run and a return to his best form should see him right in the finish.
The Shane Baertschiger trained Gentlemen Agreement won well first up and with further improvement expected, he looms as a major threat.
A winner of four of his 18 starts, he is rarely far away and like him kept fresh (27 days) from the good draw.
Rises 2.5kg, but still appears well treated and has to be kept safe.
Of the rest the Donna Logan trained Gamely appears the next in line.
A handy last start winner at this course and distance, he too rises at the weights, but should press forward and be in this for a long way.
