TRIAL POINTERS

ROSEHILL September 15: The notable trial was the first of the open heats over 900m where the highly regarded HARTO passed her barrier test in fine style after her costly loss at Randwick when she reared at the start. This time Nash Rawiller took over from Kerrin McEvoy and he made sure she flew the gates, landing a length in front before he took hold and cuddled her for the rest of the trial to finish a hard held third

RANDWICK September 8: CHAT looks to have come on nicely from a good autumn campaign with two strong trial wins to have him ready for a bold first-up performance. Did it easily travellling easily in third behind the pace, peeled out at 200m and went to the line under a strong hold to record a fast 1050m heat win (63.20; 34.34).

RANDWICK August 11: Maiden filly ZANZIDANCE was in cruise control to record a dominant 4.5 lengths win from the front in her 1080m trial in the fastest of the six maiden heats over the distance (63.36; 34.25). She has now won two recent trials on the synthetic at Randwick and will be hard to beat if she can convert this form to the turf.
