TRIAL POINTERS

HAWKESBURY November 22: Fast runner SIR CRACKLE looks set to improve on his last prep after he worked strongly to hold off the race fit Juan Diva in a strong 800m heat (47.88; 33.73).

RANDWICK November 11: Unraced Written Tycoon filly MISS GLENN looks a readymade winner. She has now won two of her four trials with this effort another impressive confirmation of her talent. She bounded to the lead under a hold in her 1080m heat (63.55; 34.65) and was in a world of her own leading easily by several lengths, maintaining her advantage to the line under no pressure. MENSA MISSILE won an open heat over 1080m (63.60; 33.73) beating a subsequent provincial winner.

ROSEHILL November 8: KIPSBAY was the fastest winner in the maiden heats over 897m (54.44; 35.25).

WARWICK FARM November 3: DERRY GROVE controlled his 800m trial (46.81; 33.47) from the front in what should prove a strong form heat. Did it easily to win with his ears pricked beating subsequent impressive winner CAPO STRADO. Uunraced Your Song 3YO BOOMSONG really took the eye in his 800m heat (46.71; 33.26). He jibbed at the start but accelerated quickly through the pack be travelling behind the leaders at the 500m before peeling widest on the turn. Extended easily under a cold ride to run past the leaders and win with plenty to hand. Keen to see where he is placed first-up.

RANDWICK October 29: MISS GLENN went into the blackbook after two stylish trials in July and this effort confirmed that she is a filly with good potential. Went through the motions under no pressure to finish third in her 735m heat, giving the impression she could have easily had their measure if asked to extend. The heat time (43.88; 33.90) was equal fastest among the six trials over the distance.
