TRIAL POINTERS
WYONG June 25: MILITARY EXPERT, a strong Redoute's Choice colt, was the pick of the 1000m heat winners doing it well within himself to win by a soft 2.45 lengths in good time and splits (61.26; 36.89).
RANDWICK June 21: KING OF SPARTA had his second trial win since returning to work and was just as impressive as his prior turf trial at Randwick on June 8 as a slow early speed in his 1080m heat saw him fire up when restrained behind the pace and give Tommy Berry a difficult ride before finding some clear air. While the time was slow (64.88; 34.51) he was a class above his rivals as he cruised past them with Berry throttling him down for a visually impressive soft win.
RANDWICK June 8: KING OF SPARTA took on the top grade youngsters in the autumn and his impressive trial win in the equal fastest 2YO heat over 736m (43.65; 33.95) points to him making his mark before the end of the season
