Reve De La Prairie (2 f ex Reve d'Etoiles by Zenno Rob Roy) shed her maiden status at the third attempt on Saturday as landed the a race of 1800 metres at Nakayama which saw her sire Arrowfield Stud shuttler sire Maurice’s (Screen Hero) number of first-crop winners soar to 30.

Last seen running second on her second start, the two-year-old filly went one better when beating Irish Moon (Makfi) by a half a length, while Etoile Matin (Rulership) was a further length and a quarter further back in third.

The filly is out of Listed-winning mare Reve d'Etoiles, who is herself a daughter of Group 1 winner Reve D’Oscar (Highest Honor), making her a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Reve D’Essor (Agnes Tachyon), Grade 2 scorer Reve Mistral (King Kamehameha) and Listed winner Apres Un Reve (Symboli Kris S).

Further back the filly hails from the same family as Listed winner Numidie (Baillamont) - the dam of Group 2 winner Numide (Highest Honor) and stakes winner Sir Erec (Highest Honor).

The Shadai Stallion Station-based Maurice has stood at Arrowfield Stud for the past three seasons, but due to coronavirus the son of Screen Hero (Grass Wonder) did not return to the Hunter Valley stud this season. He currently sits at the head of the leading first season sires table in Japan by earnings. The stallion has nine lots catalogued for next year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
