Co-trainers Mick Price and Michael Kent jnr have booked Glen Boss for the ride on Quantum Mechanic (Deep Field), in the hope his experience can help the four-year-old mare snare her first win at top-flight level when she tackles the Coolmore Legacy (Queen Of The Turf Stakes) (Gr 1, 1600m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Quantum Mechanic broke through for her first victory at stakes level when she took out the Sunline Stakes (Gr 2, 1600m) at Moonee Valley on March 19 and she was last seen running third in the Emancipation Stakes (Gr 2, 1500m) at Rosehill on April 3. She has drawn barrier three for the Group 1 race.

"She deserves her chance, doesn't she? I said to Glen Boss, 'Can you please win a Group 1?' and he said he's the man, apparently," Price told Racing.com.

Meanwhile, Price and Kent will also saddle Thousand Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Odeum (Written Tycoon) in the Group 1 on Saturday and she will start from the next door barrier to her stablemate in four.

"She is excellent. A little bit of a messy prep, 1400 metres first-up and then to Sydney and back to 1200 metre," Price said.

"I think Odeum is very good, she is blooming and worked on the course proper this morning and worked very well. I think she is going to run super in the Group 1."

The daughter of Written Tycoon (Iglesia) was unlucky not to add a second Group1 to her CV when narrowly beaten by Shout The Bar (Not A Single Doubt) in the Empire Rose Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) in October and she will be looking to secure her first win on Saturday since her victory in the Group 1 at Caulfield.
