Galileo records his 91st Group 1 winner and Ruler Of The World, Dansili, Cotai Glory, Majestic Warrior and Kizuna add new stakes winners
91st Group One winner for Galileo
Coolmore’s peerless sire Galileo (Sadler’s Wells) notched up Group 1 winner number 91 on Sunday when his daughter Joan Of Arc (3 f ex You’resothrilling by Storm Cat) won the Prix de Diane (Gr 1, 2100m) at Chantilly. Taking the lead in the closing stages, the Aidan O’Brien-trained Joan Of Arc beat the Andre Fabre-trained favourite Philomene (Dubawi), who is owned by Godolphin, by three quarters of a length. Burgarita (Sea The Stars) finished a close third.
Joan Of Arc, who finished second in the Irish 1,000 Guineas (Gr 1, 1m), becomes the fourth Group 1 winner out of Group 2 winner You’resothrilling (Storm Cat) who is also the dam of Gleneagles (Galileo), Happily (Galileo) and Marvellous (Galileo) who in turn produced Fort Myers (War Front) who is now in training in Australia and races under the name Blue Soldier. You’resothrilling is also the dam of dual Zipping Classic (Gr 2, 2400m) winner Taj Mahal (Galileo). The filly’s second dam meanwhile is Mariah’s Storm (Rahy) who in turn produced Giant’s Causeway (Storm Cat).

Four for Ruler Of The World
Ruler Of The World (Galileo) sired his four stakes winner when Northern Ruler (3 c ex North Sun by Monsun) won the Prix du Lys Longines (Gr 3, 2400m) at Chanilly on Sunday. The Gestut Schlenderhan homebred, who is trained by Andreas Wohler, scored by half a length winover Bubble Gift (Nathaniel), with a further length and three quarters back to Gabello (Galiway) in third. Northern Ruler is the first stakes winner out of the winning Monsun (Konigsstuhl) mare North Sun who is a daughter of Group 3 winner and Preis der Diana (Gr 1, 2400m) runner up North Queen (Desert King). Ruler Of The World stood at Haras de Bouquetot for a fee of €5,000 in 2021.

148 for Dansili
Dansili (Danehill) sired his 148th stakes winner when Diadora (3 f ex Diatribe by Tertullian) won the Grosser Preis Von Burger King Deutschland (Listed, 1400m) at Hanover on Sunday. The Gestut Rottgen homebred scored by one and a quarter lengths over Angelinka (Pedro The Great) with a further head back to Sun Bear (Dubawi).
First for Cotai Glory
British raider, the Kevin Ryan-trained Atomic Force (2 g ex Atlas Silk by Dansili) recorded his second victory and first stakes win in Sunday’s Prix du Bois Longines - Fonds Europeen de l’Elevage (Gr 3, 1200m) at Chantilly. The gelding ran on well to score an impressive five length victory over Black Lives Matter (Panis) with another length back to Best Sixteen (Penny’s Picnic) in third and in winning he became the first stakes winner for his first season sire Cotai Glory (Exceed And Excel). Cotai Glory stands at Tally Ho Stud in Ireland where his 2021 fee was set at €5,000. He has sired 11 winners and his sons Dig Two and Eldrickjones were both stakes placed at Royal Ascot last week.

29 for Majestic Warrior
Smasher (3 c ex Smash by King Kamehameha) recorded his first stakes victory in Sunday’s Unicorn Stakes (Gr 3, 1600m) at Tokyo, becoming stakes winner number 29 for his sire Majestic Warrior (A P Indy). Trained by Tatsuya Yoshioka, Smasher beat Ca Va (I’ll Have Another) by a length with the same distance back to Keiai Lovage (Henny Hughes) in third and the colt took his race record to three wins and three placings in eight career starts.
Majestic Warrior’s stakes winners include the four-time Grade 1 winning filly Princess Of Sylmar. Having begun his stud career at Ashford Stud in Kentucky he was relocated to Japan in 2015 and now stands at East Stud.
15 for Kizuna
Shamrock Hill (4 f ex Laragh by Tabit) won Sunday’s Mermaid Stakes (Gr 3, 2000m) at Hanshin and in doing so became the 14th stakes winner for her sire Kizuna (Deep Impact). The Shozo Sasaki-trained filly scored by a neck from Clavel (Epiphaneia) with Shadow Diva (Heart’s Cry) another neck further away in third.
The Shadai Stallion Station-based Kizuna has three crops of racing age and has produced three Grade 2 winners while Shamrock Hill becomes his fifth Grade 3 winner.
