Having his first start in stakes company the Allan Sharrock-trained gelding beat stablemate London Express (Shamexpress) by two lengths.

Waikato Stud’s No Excuse Needed died at the age of 17 following a paddock accident in 2015.

Third stakes winner for Time For War
Amasenus (4 m ex Kelendria) won Saturday’s HG Bolton Sprint (Listed, 1200m) at Belmont Park to provide the late Kitchwin Hills based sire Time For War (Snitzel) with his third stakes winner.

Trained by Simon Miller, Amasenus beat Reflectivity (All Too Hard) by a head with Western Temple (Dream Ahead) and took her record to eight wins and three placings from 16 starts.

Time For War died in 2016 after covering just two books of mares.
