Harbour Watch, Motivator, Acclamation and Makfi add new stakes winners

Second Group One for Skalleti
The Jerome Reynier-trainer Skalleti (6 g Kendargent - Skallet by Muhaymin) ran at a dominant five length winner in the Grosser Dallmayr-Preis Bayerishches Zuchtrennen (Gr 1, 2000m) at Munich to notch up his second Group One victory and 16th victory from his 21 start career. Skalleti settled at the rear of the field many lengths off the breakaway leader Tabera and  confidently ridden by Gerald Mosse, he came with a strong run down the centre of the track taking the lead inside the final 200m and drew away to win effortlessly by five lengths with plenty in reserve. Grocer Jack (Oasis Dream) was game in defeat battling on for second with No Limit Credit (Night Of Thunder) a further neck back in third. Skalleti is out of Listed winner Skallet, who has also produced Group Two winner Skazino (Kendargent) and Listed placed Skalleto (Kendargent).

Harbour Watch (Acclamation) sired his 11th stakes winner when Brunch (4 g ex Granola by Makfi) won the Pomfret Stakes (Listed, 1m) at Pontefract on Sunday. Brunch came with a strong run late from back in the field to get up late to score a little cosily by three quarters of a length over Rhoscolyn (Territories), with a further head back to Azano (Oasis Dream) back in third. Brunch was unsold as a yearling when bought back for 4,000gns at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 3 and is raced by his breeder Mrs F Denriff. Brunch is the first stakes winner for his dam Granola who is a half-sister to two-time Group Three winners Astrophysical Jet (Dubawi), Know It All (Lord Kanaloa) and Coral Wave (Rock Of Gibraltar). This is the family of My Kingdom Of Fife (Kingmambo). 

 

33 for Motivator
Motivator (Montjeu) sired his 33rd stakes winner when Lady Day (3 f ex Toride by Fuisse) won the Prix La Sollerina (Listed, 1600m) at La Teste de Buch on Sunday. Lady Day came with a big run from near rear to show a good turn of foot in the straight to score by a quarter of length over Trixia De Vega (Lope De Vega), with Izlaz (Epaulette) a further three and a half lengths back in third. Lady Day is a three quarter sister to the great Treve with her dam Toride being a half-sister to the six-time Group One winner and champion. 

 

59 for Acclamation
Rathbarry Stud’s Acclamation (Royal Applause) sired his 59th stakes winner when Accakaba (2 f ex Yakaba by Medicean) ran out a narrow winner of the Criterium du Bequet (Listed, 1200m) at La Teste de Buch on Sunday. Accakaba scored by a neck over Maroon Sky (Johnny Barnes) with a further length and a half back to Montussan (Dabirsim) in third. Accakaba is the first stakes winner out of the Group 3 winner Yakaba (Medicean). 

 

37 for Makfi
Makfi (Dubawi) sired his 37th stakes winner when All At Once (3 f ex Supreme Gift by Deep Impact) won the Summer Dash (Gr 3, 1000m) at Niigata on Sunday. All At Once scored by three quarters of a length over Lion Boss (Battle Plan) with a further length back to Baccarat Queen (Admire Moon) in third.
