Aquis Farm's late sire Spill The Beans (Snitzel) sired his fourth winner on Friday when Java Sparrow (2 f ex Sintessa by Snippets) won on debut.

The filly scored over 1100 metres at Bowen defeating In Memory Ofa Mate (Golden Archer) by a decisive five lengths. Java Sparrow became the fifth winner from six foals to race for her winning dam Sintessa (Snippets) who is herself a daughter of the Group 3 winner Flapper (Sanction).

Winner of the QTC Cup (Gr 3, 1300m), Spill The Beans stood his first season at Aquis Farm in 2016 for a fee of $11,000 (inc GST) covering 202 mares. His fee remained the same for the next three seasons but he died suddenly last October. He also reversed shuttle to The National Stud in Newmarket.

Spill The Beans leads the first season sires table in Australia by winners with his leading money earner being Cosmic Gossip. He has just one lot set to go through the ring at next month's Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
