Juvenile filly Supreme Idea takes out Lonhro Plate.

Yarraman Park's I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) added to his stakes winners tally on Saturday when Supreme Idea (2 f ex Sweet Sister by Snitzel) won the Lonhro Plate (Listed, 1000m) at Randwick. 

Trained by Anthony Freedman for Jonathan Munz's Pinecliff Racing, Supreme Idea won on debut on Boxing Day before finishing midfield in the Blue Diamond Preview (F) (Gr 3, 1000m) at Caulfield on January 25.

On Saturday, Supreme Idea controlled the race under jockey Tim Clark and never looked threatened to score by a length and a quarter from Mission River (Redoute's Choice) with Dame Giselle (I Am Invincible) the same distance back in third. 

Brad Taylor, representing the Freedman stable, said the stable wanted to split up their better two-year-olds, hence the decision to bring Supreme Idea to Sydney and the filly is likely to follow a Golden Slipper (Gr 1, 1200m) path as opposed to taking her back to Melbourne for the Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m). 

"It was a pretty good effort today," Taylor said.

"She will continue to go through the traditional Slipper path. I wouldn't think Anthony would do it, but you always have to consider it, is taking her home for the Blue Diamond next week but we've got a pretty warm favourite there.

"We might just keep them apart and keep her up here and hopefully get a few more wet tracks along the way and she'll be a chance in the Slipper."

Supreme Idea is the third foal out of the unraced Snitzel (Redoute's Choice) mare Sweet Sister who is a sister to Group 1 winner Sweet Idea and Group 2 winner Showtime being out of Flidais (Timber Country). The filly's third dam is the dual Group 1 winner Electronic (First Norman). 

Sweet Sister was covered by Zoustar (Northern Meteor) last while her More Than Ready (Souther Halo) colt is catalogued as Lot 232 for the forth coming Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale from the draft of Milburn Creek. 

I Am Invincible has sired 25 juvenile stakes winners that include Loving Gaby and Brazen Beau. He currently sits at the head of the leading sires table in Australia by earnings with Loving Gaby his leading earner. He also holds that position in the table by winners, nine ahead of Written Tycoon (Invincible Spirit).
