Courtesy Bus breaks his maiden at Mackay
Aquis Farm's late stallion Spill The Beans (Snitzel) was rewarded with his sixth first-crop winner when his son Courtesy Bus (2 c ex Falvesa by Falvelon) landed the Girl Cocktail Party Maiden Handicap (1200m) at Mackay on Tuesday.
The colt finished fourth on his first start last month but he got off the mark in impressive fashion, scooting clear to beat Colour Perfect (Star Witness) by a decisive two and a half lengths.
Purchased by Jared Wehlow for $51,000 at the 2019 Magic Millions Capricornia Yearling Sale, the colt is out of four-time winner Falvesa (Falvelon).
Further back the colt is from the family of multiple Group 1 winner Bounty Hawk (Balmerino) and stakes winners Participator (Alcimedes) and Boom Vang (Great Wall).
Falvesa has a yearling colt by Spill The Beans, while she also has filly by the stallion and has most recently been covered by Aquis Farm's new stallion Performer (Exceed And Excel).
Courtesy Bus joins Cosmic Gossip, Tumbler Ridge, Tennessee Boy, Bangers And Mayo and Java Sparrow as the stallion's other winners. The son of Snitzel (Redoute's Choice) died in November last year and he is currently sitting second behind Pride Of Dubai (Street Cry) in the Australia's leading two-year-old sires table.
