The Newgate Farm-based sire Super One (I Am Invincible) was represented by his second winner on Friday when his daughter Lucky Shadow (2 f ex Tiger Eyes by Choisir) made a winning debut in a two-year-old maiden at Tamworth.

The two-year-old filly was seen finishing second in a barrier trial at Taree in October and she scored a victory over Mischief Managed - who is by fellow first season sire Spill The Beans (Snitzel) - in a maiden over 1000 metres.

Purchased by HP Thoroughbreds for $15,000 at the 2018 Inglis Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale, the filly then fetched the same price when snapped up by her trainer Bob Milligan at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale the following year.

The two-year-old is the first foal out of four time-winning Choisir (Danehill Dancer) mare Tiger Eyes, who is herself a half-sister to Macau Listed winner Speedy Leo (Nadeem).

Further afield this is the family of Group 3 winners Graceful Anna (Canny Lad) and News Alert (Danehill Dancer), while Listed scorers Siranto (Laranto), Prince Rubiton (Rubiton), Jyoti (Akeed Mofeed), She Can Skate (Bradbury's Luck), Catriona (Bellotto) and Force Apollo (Catrail) also feature on her page.

Lucky Shadow herself is bred on a similar cross to Group 3-winning filly Eckstein (I Am Invincible).

The filly's Rubick (Encosta De Lago) half-sister was purchased by Proven Thoroughbreds and Joe Pride for $45,000 from the Valiant Stud draft at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale earlier this year and after missing to Rubick in 2019, Tiger Eyes was most recently covered by Darley-based stallion Shooting To Win (Northern Meteor).

Super One stood at Newgate Farm for a fee of $11,000 (inc GST) in 2019, when he covered 169 mares, and Lucky Shadow joins Superbellaa as the stallion's other winner.
