Son of Brazen Beau to stand for a fee of $11,000.

Newgate Farm, in conjunction with Emirates Park, have purchased Tassort (Brazen Beau) and he will stand at Henry Field's Hunter Valley stud for $11,000 (inc GST) in 2020. 

The superfast son of Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible) showed his precocity when landing the Golden Gift (1100m) by five and a half lengths on debut for trainer James Cummings, before finishing second behind Time To Reign (Time For War) in the Silver Slipper Stakes (Gr 2, 1100m). 

Out of blue-hen mare Essaouira (Exceed And Excel), Tassort is a half-brother to multiple Group 1-winning mare Alizee (Sepoy) and fellow elite scorer Astern (Medaglia d'Oro) - who now stands at Darley's Kelvinside base in New South Wales.

Tassort's second dam is Group 2 winner Alizes (Rory's Jester), who is herself out of Group 1 winner La Baraka (Euclase). 

Meanwhile, his fourth dam is champion racemare Triscay (Marscay) - the dam of Group 2 winner Tsuimai (Thunder Gulch), while she is the graddam of Listed scorers Agister (Mossman) and Readyor (More Than Ready). 

"Tassort is out of one of Australia's great blue hen mares Essaouira, and from the dominant I Am Invincible sire line," said Emirates Park general manager Bryan Carlson. 

"The combination of his genetic excellence and untapped talent is the reason we purchased Tassort. We will be supporting him heavily at stud with many of our quality mares." 

Newgate managing director Henry Field said Tassort offered breeders a terrific opportunity.

"When I first saw Tassort step out in the Golden Gift he struck me as a two-year-old with incredible talent, which was no surprise given the high regard he was held in by those that were closest to him," said Field. 

"With the commitment of such a high volume and quality of Emirates Park and Newgate mares, Tassort will receive a terrific opportunity at stud."
