Deep Field (Northern Meteor) will stand for an increased fee of $55,000 (inc GST) at Newgate Farm in 2020 and he will be joined on the roster by his Group 2-winning son Cosmic Force, who is set to stand his first season for an introductory fee of $16,500 (inc GST).

Cosmic Force won the Pago Pago Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) as a two-year-old and the Roman Consul Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) at three and he retired with $486,765 in career prize-money.

The colt is out of winning Commands (Danehill) mare Little Zeta, making him a half-brother to Group 3 winner Onemorezeta (Onemorenomore), while further afield he was from the family of Listed winner More Than Great (More Than Ready).

Deep Field - who stood for a fee of $44,000 (inc GST) in 2019 - has sired three stakes winners this season, including Cosmic Force, while the stallion has also enjoyed good success in the sales ring, with 56 of his yearlings selling for an aggregate of $8,546,933 at an average of $152,623.

The son of Northern Meteor’s (Encosta De Lago) exploits as a sire were no more prevalent than this weekend when his daughter Xilong posted an impressive performance to win the Euclase Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) at Morphettville.

Deep Field and Cosmic Force will stand alongside newcomers Tassort (Brazen Beau) and Brutal (O’Reilly), who will stand their first seasons for $11,000 (inc GST) and $27,500 (inc GST) respectively.

Russian Revolution (Snitzel), whose first foals are on the ground, will stand for reduced fee of $44,000 (inc GST), having stood last season for $55,000 (inc GST), while Menari - another son of Snitzel (Redoute’s Choice) - will stand for $16,500 (inc GST) in 2020.

He will have his first runners next season.

Meanwhile, Extreme Choice (Not A Single Doubt), whose progeny also hit the track next season, will stand at a fee of $22,000 (inc GST), while Flying Artie and Winning Rupert - who will also have their first runners next season - will both stand at $16,500 (inc GST).

The Newgate roster is completed by Dissident (Sebring), Wandjina (Snitzel), and Super One (I Am Invincible) will all stand for $11,000 (inc GST) in 2020.
