The Nick Olive-trained Proud Mia (2 f ex Miatoko by Danzero) provided Coolmore Australia's first season sire Pride Of Dubai (Street Cry) with his eight winner on Sunday.

The filly won the Queanbeyan Leagues Club Maiden (900m) at Queanbeyan on debut, scoring by three and three quarter lengths from Delacour (Magic Albert).

Bought for $60,000 by her trainer at last year's Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Proud Mia is out of the winning Danzero (Danehill) mare Miatoko who has produced one other winner in the stakes-placed Spaceboy (Deep Field).

Her second dam is the Group 3 placegetter Crestfallen (Rivotious), who produced the dam of Group 3 winner Testashadow (Testa Rossa). This is also the family of Group 1 winning sire Zoustar (Northern Meteor) with Proud Mia's third dam being Meteor Mist (Star Shadow) who is a grandam to the Widden Stud-based sire.

The leading first season sire in Australia by earnings with prize money of $1,000,122, almost $300,000 more than his nearest rival, Pride Of Dubai has sired one stakes winner to date in Tanker as well as the stakes placed pair Bella Nipotina and Dubai Star.
