The victory of the Darryl Gardiner-trained Isis Brumby (2 g ex Overdel by Bel Esprit) in the Rum City Foods Maiden Plate (1090m) at Bundaberg on Tuesday provided the late Aquis Farm sire Spill The Beans (Snitzel) with his ninth first crop winner.

Isis Brumby scored a three and three quarter length victory over Miss Taylor (Drumbeats) with another four and three quarter lengths back to Marcheky Boy (Tycoon Ruler) in third.

Isis Brumby is out of the unraced Bel Esprit (Royal Academy) mare Overdel who has one other winner in Carpe Noctem (Love Conquers All) from three foals to race.

His second dam is Danelish (Great Dane) who produced three winners including the stakes placed gelding Blue Lion (Zabeel). Further back this is the family of dual Group 2 winner Memphis Blues (Semipalatinsk) and Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Danelagh (Danehill) - the dam of Hong Kong champion Vengeance Of Rain (Zabeel) and 2005 Australian Oaks (Gr 1, 2400m) winner Dizelle.

Spill The Beans sits at the head of the leading first season sires table in Australia by winners and third in the table by earnings. He died in December last year having covered 605 mares during four seasons at stud.
